NBA: Predicting where the top 20 2021 free agents will sign

8. Dennis Schroder

If acquiring a point guard at the NBA Daft wasn’t an indication that the Los Angeles Lakers were going to move out from Dennis Schroder, I’m not sure what else could make that more clear.

The disconnect between the Lakers and Schroder is quite clear. Schroder believes he’s worth a certain amount of money that the Lakers simply don’t. At the same rate, Schroder didn’t exactly light it up during this past season in Los Angeles.

Add all that together and it’s likely that Schroder will be playing for a new team this season. In fact, I would say it’s all about certain. After missing out on Kyle Lowry and letting Lonzo Ball walk, I believe that the Pelicans will be desperate to add a scoring guard and Schroder fits the bill.
