Big risk NBA free agents: Andre Drummond

I think the idea of signing Andre Drummond or adding him to your roster is almost always better than the actual move. If you don’t believe me, just as, the Cleveland Cavaliers and, most recently, the Los Angeles Lakers.

Heading into this offseason, I can’t help but feel like that will still be the case for any team that is looking to beef up their frontcourt with Drummond. Even though he does have his strengths as a player, he certainly has his limitations as well.

And too often, his limitations outweigh his strengths.

Especially if he’s going to garner big money on the open market, any team that is thinking about signing him should be wary. Drummond simply is a player that can be schemed off the court in today’s game. And that is not a trait you want in any player you’re investing in via free agency.
