Dallas Brings Back Two Free Agents

Tim Hardaway Jr. re-signs for 4 years/$74M

Grade: A-

I really liked this move by the Dallas Mavericks. Hardaway was one of their best playoff performers and to get him back at $18 million per year is key to keeping Luka Doncic happy.

Funny enough, Tim Hardaway Jr. signed for $18 million a year after his rookie contract that was deemed “overpaid.” This year, he has more than earned his contract.

Boban Marjanovic signs a 1-year deal

Grade: A-

The entire NBA loves Boban, a 7-foot-4 giant from Serbia. Despite sometimes struggling due to his lack of mobility, the Mavericks needed to get the big friendly giant back, even just for locker room chemistry.

Reggie Bullock signs for 3 years/$30.5M

Grade: A

Reggie Bullock was a key fixture for the Knicks this year and the Mavericks definitely improve with him on the floor. He can play all over the floor, is a sound defender, and shoots the lights out (41% from three).

I thought $10 million per year was a bargain for Bullock and immediately replaces recently traded Josh Richardson.
