Losers of the NBA offseason: New Orleans Pelicans
Heading into an offseason in which the New Orleans Pelicans had high hopes of not only improving the roster but perhaps putting together a team that could perhaps make a big move up the Western Conference hierarchy, for this team to come out of free agency empty-handed is quite disappointing.
Ahead of the offseason, there were whispers that the Pelicans were targeting Kyle Lowry and Chris Paul. They missed out on both and failed to add any other big name at the same rate. They also lost Lonzo Ball (for peanuts) and the biggest acquisition of the offseason appears that it will be Devonte’ Graham.
Graham is a nice player, but he’s not exactly the needle-moving piece that many believed the Pelicans would be adding to their core of Brandon Ingram and Zion Williamson.
