Russell Westbrook will buy LeBron and AD rest and health

We’ve heard all the reasons why Westbrook may not work in Los Angeles. However, there are also some real reasons why it will. And one of the biggest reasons why is that he’ll be able to buy LeBron and AD some rest and potentially health.

No, he’s no doctor. But he can help carry the team during the regular season on nights when LeBron and/or AD need a rest or two. Quite frankly, the Lakers didn’t have a player not named LeBron or AD that was able to do that for them last season. Westbrook has his faults as an individual player, but he can carry a team in spurts.

He’s a walking triple-double and can be the nucleus of an offense. Too much Westbrook has proven to be not great for teams as of late, but there’s no question that Westbrook still has the ability to splash and explode here and there. That’s what the Lakers will benefit from most with the addition of Westbrook.
