The Los Angeles Lakers have a stronger supporting cast

Simply put, the Lakers will have a much stronger supporting cast this season than last. And that will certainly help during the regular season but will truly be evident in the postseason. When LeBron and AD needed one of their teammates to stand up in a big way, they didn’t.

So far during the offseason, the Lakers have added Westbrook, Trevor Ariza, Dwight Howard, Wayne Ellington, Carmelo Anthony, and Malik Monk. I’m not sure at any turn that you can say the Lakers didn’t improve their roster.

While the stars get most of the attention and love when it comes to championship runs, I don’t think you can discount the team’s supporting casts. And the Lakers will have one of the bests in the league this season.
