A healthy Anthony Davis is something we didn’t see last season

For all the hate that the Lakers received after losing to the Suns in the first round of the playoffs, the truth is that this team was never healthy after AD and LeBron went down with injuries in the middle of the season. Even when they both returned, neither of them seemed like their original selves.

And that played a big role. Keep in mind, this is still a team that had a 2-1 series lead over the Suns. If this team was healthy, there’s no doubt in my mind that they probably beat Phoenix in the first round of the playoffs.

A healthy AD will make all the difference for the Lakers this upcoming season. When he’s healthy, he is both an MVP and Defensive Player of the Year favorite. If AD is healthy this season, the Lakers will be more than a handful in the West.
