Why the Golden State Warriors will be contenders in 2022: The depth has improved from last season

Even though last season will be remembered as a lost year, the Warriors did manage to earn some valuable playing time to some of the younger players on the roster. That will ultimately equate to important depth heading into this season. Specifically on the part of James Wiseman and Jordan Poole.

Add in Otto Porter Jr., Andre Iguodala, Nemanja Bjelica, Johnathan Kuminga, and Moses Moody and the Warriors just might have one of the deepest rosters in the conference. Of course, the Warriors have to put it all together while on the floor but this is a roster that should find success.

And even if the Warriors elect to cash in some of their depth on a veteran star, they should still be perfectly fine after many of their young players were forced to play last season without Thompson in the lineup.
