Houston Rockets’ offseason priorities: Can they stay healthy?

Last season the Rockets largely struggled due to the absence of two of their most important pieces. Wood only played in 41 out of 72 games and Wall only appeared in 40 out of 72. These two players must remain healthy if the Rockets are to have a chance at being competitive this season.

Their production is too vital to the team’s success for them not to be on the floor for games at a time. Wood averaged a career-high 21 points per game with almost 10 boards a game. He also played a huge part in protecting the paint averaging 1.2 blocks per contest as well.

Wall put up 20.6 points per game along with 6.9 assists. On the floor together Wall and Wood form a formidable inside-outside punch and can effectively run the pick and roll. Wall has an extensive injury history and the Rockets are hoping that their floor general will be in their lineup for an entire season.
