Why Russ will work with the Los Angeles Lakers: The PnR threat
Westbrook is one of the best pick-and-roll ball-handlers in NBA history, and conveniently AD is one of, if not, the best rolling big in today’s NBA. Davis is also the best big man Westbrook has ever played with (no offense to Steven Adams,) whereas Westbrook is the best point guard Davis has taken the floor with (no offense to Jrue Holiday.)
Their one-two punch will be lethal for defenses to contain, oh we have not even mentioned their other teammate, LeBron, yet. The level of passing and playmaking between this trio might be the best combination in the NBA.
The amount of bounce and lobs this trio will generate will be terrifying for their opposition. The only thing that will slow down this trio will be age and injuries. If luck plays into their favor, Westbrook will finally capture that illustrious championship he has chased on what is soon to be his fourth team.
Westbrook has strong ties to his hometown LA community, those will only strengthen when he dons the purple and gold when the NBA season begins on October 19.
