Why the Chicago Bulls will make the playoffs: Lonzo Ball will soar with a fresh start

Ball is one of the more polarizing young players in the league. But a fresh start is something that he clearly wanted and something that the Bulls will benefit from. The good news for Chicago is that the best basketball of his career is still very much in front of him.

He’s peaking as a player at the right time and is coming off the most productive season of his career thus far. Last season with the New Orleans Pelicans, Ball averaged 15 points, six assists, and five rebounds on 38 percent shooting from 3-point range.

Ball is primed for another breakout season and will have an opportunity to do so with a team that is ready to make the jump to the postseason. And if the Bulls do take the next step as a franchise, it will largely be due to the impact of Ball.
