Why the Miami Heat shouldn’t trade Tyler Herro: He will have a defined role
Last season, Herro was in a tough spot. He had some unfair expectations placed on him and was forced into a role that he simply wasn’t ready for. On some nights, he was asked to be a point guard. On others, he was asked to be the primary scorer. His role was never consistent last season.
This year, that will be different. After adding Kyle Lowry, Herro will be able to be a super sixth man for the Heat. And with tempered expectations, Herro could very well have a bounce-back season coming off the bench for Miami.
As long as Herro keeps his head down and does everything that is expected of him in preparation for the season, he should be fine. More than anything, that’s what Herro has to get back to – just playing his role and trying to fit in next to this team’s stars.
