Why the Miami Heat shouldn’t trade Tyler Herro: Last year’s adversity should equip Herro

After the season that he just had, I think everyone will expect Herro to try and keep a low profile as he attempts to get some of the heat (no pun intended) off his back. Herro didn’t have a terrible sophomore season, but it certainly wasn’t the year that many expected him to have.

If Herro is the player and competitive that many presume him to be, there’s no doubt that he’s going to come back this season with a bit of a chip on his shoulder. Many have been quick to write him off and he was traded a myriad of times by Heat fans this offseason.

Herro should use his sophomore season as a valuable learning experience to help propel him to a successful third season. And with Lowry and Jimmy Butler in his ear, there’s no doubt in my mind that he’s going to be set up for success heading into this year.
