NBA Power Rankings: Miami Heat, Chicago Bulls steal the offseason
12. Boston Celtics
The Boston Celtics played the waiting game for much of this offseason and it paid off in a big way as they were able to land Dennis Schroder on, essnetially, a prove-it deal. The two sides will both be able to benefit from one another this season and, if it doesn’t work out will be able to part ways without risk.
You can question the fit but you can’t question the value that the Celtics got on Schroder. He should be an offensie firework for this team and that’s something almost every team can use on its roster.
The big question for Schroder revolves around his defensive prowesss – or his lack of one. Nevertheless, the Celtics are in good hands either way as long as Jaylen Brown and Jayson Tatum are still on the roster.
