5. Philadelphia 76ers

Even though there is still plenty of unknown revolving around the Philadelphia 76ers, I believe this is still a team that will play a factor in how the Eastern Conference will be decided. With or without Ben Simmons on the roster next season, the  Sixers will be a force in the East.

As long as Joel Embiid is healthy and this supporting cast is productive, the Sixers should be a top 4 or 5 team in the conference (at least). I’m not really sure if the Sixers can win the East next season – a lot of that depends on what they ultimately get in a Simmons trade – but they will be competitive.

Keep an eye on Philadelphia as the season closes in. Even though they haven’t been as busy as many others teams this offseason, they are far from a finished product. This team will not enter next season with their current roster.
