8. New York Knicks

You have to like what the New York Knicks did this offseason. They didn’t make any rash moves and still managed to improve the roster while maintaining flexibility. They improved at the point guard position with the acquisition of Kemba Walker and will be hoping for improvements in the development of RJ Barrett and Julius Randle.

It may be a bit of a disappointment to see the Knicks at No. 8 in our predictions but this is not to say that this team is going to take a big step back more than it is saying that the rest of the East has taken a big step forward.

The Knicks are on the right track but are still a few years away  – and a legit superstar – from being a  true contender in the conference. That doesn’t mean this isn’t set up to be a fun season for The Mecca.
