2. DeMar DeRozan, Chicago Bulls

A case can be made for Lonzo Ball here, as he was the other acquisition that was made by the Chicago Bulls this offseason, but I believe that the scoring and playmaking – yes, playmaking – that DeMar DeRozan will add to this team is something that will help Zach LaVine take his game to the next level.

More than anything, that’s what the Bulls were missing last season – another reliable, consistent scoring threat on the wing. Chicago added some of that from the center position when they acquired Nikola Vucevic but adding DeRozan is something that will be felt nearly everywhere else on the floor on the offensive end.

DeRozan leaves much to be desired defensively, and it will be tough to consistently play him at the power forward position, but he will give Chicago so much flexibility that his impact can’t be overstated heading into the season.
