J.J. Redick – free agent

If the Lakers are looking for a player that they could add via free agency (assuming they don’t want to wait until the buyout market), one option is J.J. Redick. Even though he’s certainly passed the prime of his career, you’d have to imagine that he’s still a player that could enter and play a role for a contender.

Redick is coming off a season in which he averaged 40 percent shooting from 3-point range and could still have something left in the tank, especially if he’s suiting up next to LeBron James and Anthony Davis.

Redick wouldn’t be asked to play extended minutes but in spurts, he’s a player that could help bring some veteran experience and depth to the Lakers’ bench. And you can bet that he’ll still be able to shoot the lights out of the ball. Redick is likely the cheapest option on the table, but if the Lakers are looking for a player to play a bigger role, they will come at a higher price.
