Los Angeles Lakers: 3 targets that could bolster shooting for new-look Lakers
Taurean Prince, Minnesota Timberwolves (trade target)
Taurean Prince is an interesting player that could emerge as a prime trade candidate at this year’s NBA Trade Deadline for several teams, including the Lakers.
Prince shot 43 percent from deep on nearly four attempts per contest this past season with the Cavs. He was recently traded to the Minnesota Timberwolves but considering they are nowhere near contention if they begin to fall out of the playoff race early in the season they could look to move him. Especially considering that he’s an expiring contract after the season.
The Lakers could look to make a move for Prince as a rental in an attempt to shore up their 3-point shooting. He’d also give the Lakers another valuable wing player that they could use and try to continue developing as a 3-and-D.
If it doesn’t work out for them, they could always just elect to move on from him during the offseason. Though, Prince could be worth the risk for a team that could use help on the perimeter such as the Lakers.
