Way-too-early NBA award predictions for the 2021-22 season.

With the offseason in full swing comes a hectic period of moving players, big roster adjustments, and other means of preparation for the season ahead. With the way the league is laid out as of right now, let’s take a look at who has the best shot of making their mark amongst NBA stardom this season.

NBA Rookie of the Year – Jalen Green

Quite possibly the most talked-about prospect coming out of this year’s relatively still fresh NBA Draft, Jalen Green has found himself an opportunity in Houston. While he may not have wanted to be anything short of the first overall pick in the draft, this move provides Green with a chance to be the new face of the Houston Rockets.

Although a big shoe to fill with the recent departure of James Harden, there is confidence in Green’s abilities and perhaps even more lack of in the rest of the Rockets depleted roster. What makes Green a more likely candidate for grabbing the Rookie of the Year award is his talent combined with his overall team value being the clear No. 1 option with quite the gap in between him and the next.

With John Wall still trying to get back to his Washington Wizards form, and Christian Wood continuing to slowly develop into a solid two-way big man, The road has been paved to make Jalen Green Houston’s next big star on the block. Expect Green to enter the league by storm making a name for himself any way he can.
