Predicting 4 NBA players entering their third year that are primed for a breakout season in 2021-22.

The 2021-22 NBA campaign is slated to offer plenty of storylines, and as is the case every year one of the biggest will revolve around which players are set to have breakout seasons on their way to league stardom.

We see in year-in and year-out in the NBA. Players that have been on track to be good players make the shift to greatness. This year is set to be no different. And while there are plenty of breakout candidates around the league, I want to focus on a small segment of players – ones that will be heading into their year 3 season.

There’s a saying in and around the league: “you know what a player is and what he isn’t by year 3.” Most players that develop into stars are stars by their year 3 season. Or, at least, they have their breakout campaign by their year 3 season.

Following that line of thinking, we try to predict which four players entering their year 3 season will have breakout campaigns in 2021-22.
