Potential landing spots for Ben Simmons: Toronto Raptors

It’s only natural to put the Toronto Raptors on this list, mostly because of the work that Masai Ujiri has been able to do over the last few years. Landing Kawhi Leonard was a bold move and paid off in a big way for the Raptors. Perhaps they’re willing to do something similar for Simmons?

After losing Kyle Lowry, and not replacing him by drafted a point guard in the 2021 NBA Draft, there is a need for the Raptors at the point guard position. And Simmons would be a great fit, especially considering his defensive prowess, next to Fred VanVleet.

Though, I’m not sure if the Raptors have an all-star player that the Sixers would covet. VanVleet is an all-star level talent but is an undersized guard. Pascal Siakam would be interesting next to Joel Embiid, but he’s essentially a longer Tobias Harris at this point in his career.

While there’s a good chance that the Raptors would be a natural fit for Simmons, I’m not sure they have the players that the Sixers would be super interested in acquiring.

Verdict: Sell
