NBA Positional Rankings: Top 10 small forwards entering 2021-22
1. Kevin Durant, Brooklyn Nets
Stats: 26.9 PPG, 7.1 RPG, 5.6 APG
There’s no surprise with this selection at No. 1, especially with the performance he is coming off of in the playoffs (without James Harden and Kyrie Irving). If he had a one-size smaller shoe, there’s a chance he wins a championship this season with the Brooklyn Nets.
Nevertheless, after coming off the Achilles injury it’s quite clear that he’s not only the best small forward in the league but that he’s the best player in the game overall. Kevin Durant can score from anywhere on the floor and his shot is practically unguardable.
He’s right in the prime of his career and the scary part is that two years removed from his Achilles injury, there’s a strong chance that he’s going to be even better this season. The Nets are arguably the most talented team in the league but Durant is the reason why many believe this team is going to be unstoppable this season.
