NBA Positional Rankings: Top 10 small forwards entering 2021-22
7. Brandon Ingram, New Orleans Pelicans
Stats: 23.8 PPG, 4.9 RPG, 4.9 APG
Brandon Ingram makes this list despite being one of the lesser-known players in the NBA. Though, that’s just how talented he is. He’s somewhat of an afterthought at the position and even more so now that he’s playing next to Zion Williamson on the New Orleans Pelicans.
Over the past couple of seasons, however, he’s transformed into one of the best wing scorers in the game. He’s big, lanky, and is a three-level consistent scorer. If the Pelicans can make the jump to the playoffs next season, there’s no question that Ingram will get a nice bump with the exposure.
Even without that, though, Ingram is one of the best players that no one seems to give him credit. He’s one of the best-kept secrets in the league and likely still hasn’t even reached his ceiling.
