5. Jayson Tatum, Boston Celtics

Stats: 26.4 PPG, 7.4 RPG, 4.3 APG 

Even though I’m somewhat down on Jayson Tatum – mostly because he hasn’t made the jump to superstardom that I believe he can make – he’s still a top 5 small forward in the league right now. Other than Kevin Durant, there might not be another player in the league that has as many weapons in his offensive game as he does.

He works on the defensive end and still needs to work on demanding the ball in key moments and coming up big in clutch spots, but he’s the biggest reason why you can’t count out the Boston Celtics heading into this season.

The hope is that he makes the jump to superstardom this season. He has all the tools to do so and it would be surprising if he didn’t sooner rather than later. At age 23, the sky is the limit for Tatum.
