Phoenix Suns

The Phoenix Suns were a great feel-good story last season. They were consistently good in the regular season and backed that up with an amazing run to the NBA Finals in which they held a 2-0 series lead against the Milwaukee Bucks. They weren’t able to cap off the season with a championship, but the 2020-21 NBA season was one to remember for Suns fans.

But, it will be extremely difficult to top that heading into this season. Even though the Suns are essentially bringing back the band, Chris Paul will be a year older and it’s difficult to envision this supporting cast replicating the magic that it created in the playoffs again on a consistent basis.

The Suns will be a playoff team this season but I imagine that they’re going to take a bit of a step back and that they won’t even make it back to the conference finals.
