NBA stars that could request a trade next: Kristaps Porzingis

Kristaps Porzingis has to be a close second to John Wall in stars to most likely request out.

Back in June, ESPN’s Tim McMahon reported that the 7-foot-3 Latvian was “frustrated” with his role alongside superstar Luka Doncic.

"“There are questions about the chemistry between Doncic and Porzingis. The Mavs franchise cornerstones admittedly aren’t friends, a distant dynamic that team owner Mark Cuban has compared to the early stages of the partnership between Dirk Nowitzki and Jason Terry, which ultimately produced two NBA Finals appearances and a championship.”  “But Porzinigs has been frustrated, often feeling more like an afterthought than a co-star as Doncic dominates the ball and spotlight, sources told ESPN.”"

Having said all of that Tim McMahon more recently has said this about the whole situation:

"“At the end of last year, Porzingis wanted to be traded. My understanding is he is ready for a — he feels like he has a fresh start with the coaching change. He’s had a healthy offseason. He was able to work, not just on his game, but on his body some more. He’s kind og coming back with a refreshed feel. From what I gather, he’s coming back optimistic now.”"

I don’t know about you but I find this all to be very interesting. Keep an eye on the Porzingis situation because if things remain the same in KP’s eyes then he might finally end up requesting a trade before the trade deadline. From there, who knows who would trade for a 7-foot-3 player who always seems to get injured and has under-performed since joining the Mavs. Like John Wall though, it only takes one team.
