The San Antonio Spurs are one of the most interesting teams to keep an eye on. They have some nice young talent and draft compensation that could be of interest for the Sixers. Depending on how high Philadelphia is on Dejounte Murray, he could be enough to get the Sixers interested.

The Spurs would have to throw in two solid veterans in Thaddeus Young and Jakob Poeltl to make the money work, along with a plethora of first-round picks. This is not really something San Antonio generally does, but there’s no question they should be interested in a player as talented as Simmons.

If there’s one franchise that will have the best shot at getting Simmons’ career back on track, it’s going to be the Spurs. Gregg Popovich getting Simmons’ career back on track would be quite the story to end his coaching stint.
