I continue to maintain that the most sensible trade for both the Sixers and Simmons is one to the Portland Trail Blazers. Whether it will happen or not remains to be seen, but I believe that Simmons to the Blazers to reinvigorate all sides of this deal.

It may not be exactly what the Sixers are looking for in a potential trade, but there is probably not a better player that will be more feasible to land than C.J. McCollum on the open market. Throw in two future first-round picks and the Sixers may not receive a better offer for Simmons.

McCollum would offer some offensive firepower that the Sixers haven’t had in the backcourt in a very long time and would give Joel Embiid a legit second offensive option. The Blazers would get a star that would get Damian Lillard back engaged.
