Chicago Bulls: The verdict is in, the Bulls are extremely fun and dangerous
The verdict is in; the Chicago Bulls are fun and will be dangerous in the Eastern Conference.
It’s only been two preseason games but I’m willing to call it; the Chicago Bulls are going to be one of the most entertaining teams to watch this season and, perhaps more importantly, are going to be extremely dangerous in the Eastern Conference.
Even more so as the Brooklyn Nets and Philadelphia 76ers continue to trip over their internal issues that could end up derailing their respective seasons.
Nevertheless, through two preseason games, the Bulls are 2-0 and have scored 121 and 131, respectively in those games. New additions Lonzo Ball and DeMar DeRozan have each had their moments through the first two exhibition games and Zach LaVine has picked up where he left off as one of the most athletically imposing wings.
Chicago has even shown signs of improvement on the defensive end but, again, this is preseason and it wouldn’t be smart to put much stock into that considering regular starters and most rotation players are not playing more than roughly 20 minutes per contest.
Either way, when Chicago’s starters are in the game, they have looked mightily impressive. And what has stood out the most is how entertaining this team has the potential to be – and that’s without second-year standout Patrick Williams, who is nursing an injury and isn’t expected to be back with the team until early in the regular season.
But not only do the Bulls have the potential to be fun, but also dangerous in the conference. Aside from the Milwaukee Bucks and Nets, everything else seems wide open in the East. The Miami Heat, Philadelphia 76ers, and Atlanta Hawks are all expected to be good this season but all do have their faults as well.
It wouldn’t be far-fetched for a team such as the Bulls to sneak into the top 4 of the East, especially with as much talent as this team has on its roster. At least through preseason, the Bulls have lived up to their lofty offseason expectations – and then some.
This is an exciting time for Bulls fans. This could end up being a special season for Chicago.
