Philadelphia 76ers
It’s already been reported that the Philadelphia 76ers aren’t interesting in moving Ben Simmons for Kyrie Irving, but it’s absolutely something they should explore if nothing else. And while they can’t really explore a straight-up trade, perhaps a third team would join in and help make this all work – perhaps a team such as the Minnesota Timberwolves that have had their eyes on Simmons.
Kyrie is the exact offensive player that could help put this Sixers team over the top and he would be eligible to play in Philadelphia even if he continues to decline the option of getting the COVID-19 vaccine.
The thing with Kyrie is that he’s a bigger headache off-the-court than he is on it. If they could somewhat put the vaccine stuff to bed, at least during the season, he could help this team tremendously.
The team would suffer defensively but he’d be an offensive talent that Embiid has never played with at any time during his career.
