5. Denver Nuggets

Jamal Murray isn’t expected to be ready at the start of the season but the hope is that by the postseason, the Denver Nuggets will be fully healthy and perhaps the best version of themselves. If that rings true, this is a team that has enough talent to win the Western Conference.

Even more so if Michael Porter Jr. is able to make another jump in his progression. He’ll be relied on early this season to carry more of the scoring load with Murray sidelined due to injury. If he responds well, it should give this team three legit superstars on the roster.

With a big three that can go toe-to-toe with the Lakers, it wouldn’t be outlandish to say that the Nuggets can win the championship this season. This team is that good and has that level of potential.
