Not even a month into the 2021-22 NBA season some disturbing trends are already taking hold across the league. Here are the top five.

The NBA is the best drama on TV, every day and night something new and exciting happens. Less than a month into this season is no exception from Russell Westbrook’s struggle with the Los Angeles Lakers to the Boston Celtics being profoundly underwhelming in their first six games.

Some, maybe most of these issues scattered across the association can be fixed. The solutions will be vague, from players returning from injury, developing chemistry, adjusting to new rules, trades, or perhaps a little extra effort.

Under two weeks into the season, not a single team remains undefeated. All teams have at least one loss. Therefore, few teams have displayed dominance early on, so time remains for teams to steady the ship and have successful seasons.

The question without an answer at the moment; is what teams have the resilience to weather the adversity and become a stronger basketball team because of it? The Brooklyn Nets or the Lakers seemed poised to be in such a position, but their issues are both unique, especially for Brooklyn.

Nets coach Steve Nash has two complicated problems on his hands. One player is unable to participate due to vaccine mandates in New York and James Harden has been greatly impacted by the NBA’s updated rules. More on the Net’s and their drama later, let’s dive into what is going on with their rival the Boston Celtics.
