Need a little Voodoo?

Zion Williamson was pegged to be a superstar and one of if not the best players since LeBron to be drafted. Unfortunately, due to multiple injuries that has not panned out. Three years into his NBA career Zion has appeared in only 61 of the Pelicans 151 games played since they drafted him number-one overall in 2019.

That is only 40 percent of the Pelicans games, that is not nearly enough for a superstar or any star for that matter. He has yet to appear in a game this season. Things are not going too well for the Pels in his absence, they are currently 1-6 on the year.

Williamson’s timeline to return from his surprise foot surgery is yet to be determined. The new question for the Pelicans is when he does return will the Pelicans be too far behind the eight ball to make a run for the playoff in the competitive Western Conference?

The way things are shaping up at the moment, the answer will be yes. If New Orleans misses the post-season again, how much longer will Zion be content staying in The Big Easy?
