1. The Warriors are back and extremely dangerous.
Last season, the Golden State Warriors were a mediocre team that needed Steph Curry to lead the league in scoring just so they could get knocked out in the Play-In tournament by the Los Angeles Lakers.
This season, however, they look like the GSW from 2015-2019, and they aren’t even close to being at full strength. After 9 games the Warriors are 8-1, have the best offense in the league (113.9 PPG), and have the 2nd best defense in the league (100.2PPG).
Steph Curry is doing his thing, averaging 25.1 PPG so far, but it’s his supporting cast that is propelling the Warriors to wins. Jordan Poole, Andrew Wiggins, and Damion Lee are all averaging over 12 PPG, and Draymond Green is playing like it’s 2017 again.
Most of the credit has to go to Steve Kerr. GSW’s head coach has his players playing great team-first basketball. There’s lots of movement, passing, intelligent screening and every player is willing to make the extra pass to turn a good shot into a great one. Everyone is buying into the game plan
When Klay Thompson and James Wiseman return, the Warriors will have even more firepower on their side, meaning a lot of teams are about to get burned.
