In this week’s NBA Power Rankings, the Brooklyn Nets seem to have shaken off their uneven start to the season.

Through roughly the first month of the 2020–21 NBA season, there’s been a couple of big storylines that have dominated the NBA newswire. The first is the struggles that the Los Angeles Lakers have faced as a try and establish a new big three in the Western Conference. Though, we touched on that last week.

One of the other storylines that have dominated the NBA so far this season has been the early struggles of the Brooklyn Nets, and specifically James Harden.

The new NBA rules have not made life easier for Harden as he and the Nets have already the tough task of trying to overcome the loss of Kyrie Irving, who continues to be sidelined due to COVID-19 restrictions in the state of New York.

However, over the last couple of weeks, it seems the Nets have begun to turn the corner on their struggles. Brooklyn has won seven of their last eight and eight of his last 10 games overall.

Perhaps most importantly, over that span, Harden is looking more and more like himself.  As the Nets continue to climb up at the East standings, let’s take a look at this week’s NBA Power Rankings.
