2. Kevin Durant – Brooklyn Nets

Right now there’s no doubt in my mind that Kevin Durant is the best player in the world. LeBron is now too old and injury-prone and Giannis has fallen off a bit this season. When I watch Durant play, it’s like watching a seasoned pro play against high-school teams, not established NBA franchises.

He is just so smooth in everything he does, completely under control at all times. Teams can try whatever they want against him, he just takes it in his stride and nearly always makes the right play.

Durant is currently leading the league in scoring at 29.4 PPG, 8.4 RPG, and 5.2 APG whilst shooting 58.9% from the field, 43.3% from 3, and 82.5% from the free-throw line. This would be his 5th scoring title and would move him into 3rd all-time behind Michael Jordan and Wilt Chamberlain.

His Brooklyn Nets are also 2nd in the East and are a big favorite to win the title this season, mainly thanks to KD.

This is Durant’s world, we are just living in it.
