Exploring five big overreactions at the one-month mark of the 2021-22 NBA season. 

We’re almost exactly one month into the 2021-22 NBA season and the start of what could be a memorable campaign hasn’t failed to live up to expectations. There have been a few surprising contenders that have risen and also a few surprises that have left many perplexed.

Through the first few weeks of the season, we’ve seen a struggling James Harden get back on track, the Brooklyn Nets look like pretenders and then contenders, and the Miami Heat and Chicago Bulls rise into the top hierarchy of contenders in the Eastern Conference.

In the Western Conference, we’ve seen the Phoenix Suns pick up where they left off last season as the Los Angeles Lakers continue to struggle, at least in part, due to injury.
