Indiana Pacers: 3 trades that would successfully reshuffle the roster
By Dan Knitzer
Pacers traded T.J. Warren and Chris Duarte to the Pistons for Jerami Grant
T.J. Warren may still have more value to other teams than salary filler players like Jeremy Lamb, even if expecting him to be a top 40 player again feels like a pipe dream. Chris Duarte may not have a super high ceiling, but almost any team would be lucky to have him on their roster.
He’s been great for the Pacers thus far in his rookie season, averaging 14 points and four rebounds on 40 percent shooting from 3-point range.
Jerami Grant is a good enough shot creator to thrive alongside one of Myles Turner and Domantas Sabonis and make their uneasy marriage less strained when sharing the court with them. Grant is on the sinking ship that is the Detroit Pistons and if they’re ready to rebuild around Cade Cunningham, perhaps they’d be open to moving Grant.
