Why the Los Angeles Lakers have struggled this season: Lineup inconsistency
Chemistry is an extremely important part of a winning basketball machine. An averagely-talented team with good chemistry will beat a highly-talented team that doesn’t work together. To build chemistry you need practice together, but you also need time on the court in actual games. Right now the Lakers are not giving themselves this last, vital part.
Through the first 15 games, the Lakers don’t have a single lineup that has played in at least seven games and played over 15 minutes…
Just think about that for a second.
There has been zero opportunity for players to jel with one-another on the court. The Lakers keep swapping players in and out, and that doesn’t allow an effective lineup to emerge and prosper. The Lakers need to look at the stats from their lineups, figure out which ones are effective and give them more of a chance to shine.
