Separating the contenders from the pretenders in the NBA with a Thanksgiving-themed Turkey or Tofurky game.

A little more than a month into the 2021-22 NBA season, trends are starting to become viable behaviors and we’re beginning to learn more and more about contenders in both conferences.

The Golden State Warriors have taken the league by storm and look dominant once again – and that’s without James Wiseman or Klay Thompson. Stephen Curry is on his way to perhaps another NBA MVP award as head coach Steve Kerr continues to get the most out of his players.

On the other hand, the Los Angeles Lakers have struggled mightily and have been decimated by injury. Will the return of LeBron James be all that the Lakers need to get back on the right track? As good as LeBron is and has been when he’s been healthy, that’s a bit unfair to expect. Either way, we should get the answer to that question – and more – as the season continues to unwind.

With Thanksgiving inching close and closer, we decided to play a friendly game of Turkey or Tofurky as it pertains to the best teams around the league.

(Editor’s note: This is not a knock on Tofurky).
