In the latest installment of our NBA Power Rankings, we take a closer look at the Golden State Warriors’ early-season dominance. 

Through the first month of the season, one of the most dominant teams in the league has been the Golden State Warriors. They’ve been much better than expected and Stephen Curry looks more and more like the NBA MVP favorite.

The depth of the team, highlighted by the contributions of Draymond Green, Andrew Wiggins, and Jordan Poole is what has separated the Warriors from the rest of the Western Conference. The Warriors have a top 2 offense, defense, and have – by far – the best net rating in the league.

Once James Wiseman and Klay Thompson make their returns, the Warriors should continue to build a strong foundation for a legit contender. Perhaps the Warriors might not have been considered a true contender before the season, but it’s clear – even through just the first month of the season – that it’s time to reassess the league accordingly.
