NBA Power Rankings: Ranking each division through one month
By Austin Lloyd
2. Atlantic (E)
As far as “star power” is concerned, the Atlantic division appears as if it could keep up with just about any other. Because of that–and the teams’ current records–the Atlantic is not here because of anything against it. Rather, there is just one division that is even flashier right now.
The Brooklyn Nets are in front of the division with 14 wins so far this NBA season, but they are yet to truly separate themselves from the likes of New York, Philadelphia, and Boston (all of which have 10 wins already).
The “worst” team of the bunch right now is Toronto, but even they have nine wins, which locks this group in as deeper than all of the others today, including 1st place on these rankings. If the Raptors get one more victory under their belt soon enough, the Atlantic will be the league’s first division this season to have all teams sporting double-digit numbers in their win columns. Not bad at all.
