Ranking the 10 most disappointing players in the NBA at the quarter-mark of the season.

A common saying around the National Basketball Association is that the NBA is a game of runs. Due to the nature of the sport, a player or team can get ‘hot’ and go on a tearing streak, destroying everything in their path. This can happen in a game and in a season.

We’ve all seen players like Steph Curry unleash a barrage of 3’s from well beyond the arc in a game, but players can also find themselves in a good rhythm during a season. They go into each game with confidence which gives them that edge over their opponent, which then increases the player’s confidence even more.

The reverse can happen though. Players can miss shot after shot after shot, until they get inside their own head too much, which then leads to nerves hindering their performance. This can extend over a season, as a lack of confidence sets in. Players can become unwilling to take shots they would normally do for fear of missing again and making things worse.

Every year there are also those that start hot and those that are ice cold. Here is my list of the top players who have been disappointing to start this season.
