8. Indiana Pacers – Patrick Baldwin Jr., G, Wisconsin-Milwaukee
As one of the more highly-touted prospects out of high school, Patrick Baldwin Jr. is absolutely a player that could rise up draft boards as the 2022 NBA Draft gets closer and closer. And considering that he’s not playing at a big school, it adds all the more intrigue to his pre-draft story.
Through four games, Baldwin is averaging 15 points and eight rebounds per game. At least for now, his shooting numbers are a bit troubling – he’s only shooting 37 percent f from the field overall and 25 percent from 3-point range.
If he’s going to be a top 10 pick, you’d have to assume that he’s going to need to find his stride when it comes to more efficient scoring numbers. Even though his size and athleticism are something that NBA teams will covet, he needs to be an efficient scorer to truly separate himself as a prospect.
