The Boston Celtics are floundering this year, and they have not found a way to play consistently. Many around the league still wonder if Jaylen Brown and Jayson Tatum can play together. If the Celtics were to add Sabonis, it would give Boston one of the best frontcourts in the league.

The deal would likely need to include Robert Williams and Marcus Smart. Losing Williams and Smart would be beneficial financially for the Celtics and overall play. Smart is still a loose cannon on offense, and Williams is still developing.

Going from a center still finding his footing in Williams to an All-Star in Sabonis is a no-brainer. The Celtics have Horford under contract guarantees the Celtics will have an above-average big man playing for all 48 minutes a game.
