10. Jimmy Butler – Miami Heat

In an era where NBA players are shooting more 3’s than ever,  it’s nice to see athletes that play an ‘old-school’ style of basketball. Jimmy Butler is one the best examples of this in the league right now. Butler is not a good 3-point shooter, and he knows it. Butler only shoots 1.7 3s a game and hits only 19.4% of them.

Butler doesn’t need the 3 to be an effective player, because he dominates every other aspect of the game. He’s averaging 22.8 PPG, 5.8 RPG, 5.2 APG and 2.2 SPG. He’s also hitting 50.9% from the field and 85.2 FT%. Butler is one the best two-way players in the league, he can give 25 points and shutdown his defensive assignment on a nightly basis.

The Heat are also 16-12 after 28 games and look like they can make some real noise this postseason.
