Philadelphia 76ers: Revisiting 20 players that fell victim to a failing ‘Process’
18. Trey Burke
Burke, the former number 9 pick of the 2013 NBA Draft bounced around in the NBA after his first three seasons in Utah. Burke is a scoring guard that can play off the ball or as the primary ball-handler. He was in Philadelphia at the beginning of the 2019-20 season but averaged 13.2 MPG.
As a result, he averaged 5.9 PPG on .465 shooting from the field and .421 percent from the 3-point line. Later in the same season when he was given more minutes with the Dallas Mavericks, he averaged 12.0 PPG, shooting .427 from the field and .432 from the 3-point line in 23.9 MPG.
17. Alec Burks
After struggling with devastating injuries while in Utah, Alec Burks has bounced back strong. Although he’s known as a scorer, he is an underrated defender. While some players struggle with bench roles, Burks thrives while coming off the bench or as a starter. He got traded to the 76ers in the 2019-20 season and played well, averaging 12.2 PPG, shooting .461 from the field and .416 from the 3-point line. When the season was over, he signed with the New York Knicks.
