12. Thaddeus Young

The Thaddeus Young of the 76ers was athletic, fast, and played hard on defense. Now that he is in year 14, Young has found a way to reinvent himself. He can score on the post, rebound, and pass.

His basketball IQ and ability to read the defense and consistently find the open man has given him the nickname Thagic Johnson. With Young unhappy with his role in San Antonio, if he gets a buyout he would be a good player for the 76ers to pick up.

11. Robert Covington

Like Saric, I thought Covington was the best fit next to Simmons and Embiid. In the frontcourt, he is a great 3-and-D player who was undrafted in 2013. After playing his first season in Houston he signed with Philadelphia during the beginning of the process but was moved in the Jimmy Butler trade with Jaric.

The 76ers haven’t had a 3-and-D player at the small forward position since he left.
