NBA Trade Rumors: Mocking a Ben Simmons deal to every team with interest

This is still the trade that I believe has the best chance of coming to fruition. A C.J. McCollum for Ben Simmons trade simply makes too much sense for both sides. The ultimately comes down to whether or not the Sixers are going to come off their outrageous asking price.

If they will, this is probably the deal that gets done. And it’s not that McCollum is a bad player. He’s a really good one. It’s just that his high-end potential isn’t in the same stratosphere as Simmons’. But that’s OK.

McCollum fits a Blazers’ need and would help this team make the jump back to contender status in the Eastern Conference. Portland would never admit it publically, but they would absolutely do this deal in a heartbeat. Especially with Damian Lillard pushing for it.
